Its about time that some measure contribute so that student with neither the desire nor the skill or the knowledge to pursue advanced studies at the university level be turned away from it. it is not a failure or a shame to admit that not everybody is or should be college-material. Nor does this country gain anything by mass-producing sloppily educated degree holders. Obviously, Mr. Kalomoiris has not visited a University or a TEI classroom recently. Instead of bickering at the government from trying to bring in some standards of quality and evaluation -- whatever these may be -- we should be more vocal about the opposite in our high school classrooms: that is, how to talk away from the University those students of ours who really do not belong there.
